Biography

After a four-year hiatus, Stone Lions roared back in 2023 with two dynamic singles. The first, “New Year’s Ghost,” captures the haunting duality of New Year’s Eve—juxtaposing the night’s euphoria with its underlying solitude. This track garnered attention from Triple J, Pilerats, Wall of Sound, and various community radio stations, solidifying its status as a modern pop-punk anthem. Streamed over 300,000 times, New Year’s Ghost is a now staple.

Their follow-up single, “Story of Us,” delivers high-energy hooks and anthemic choruses, evoking nostalgia while compelling listeners to dance. This track showcases the band’s undeniable chemistry and knack for crafting infectious melodies.

In 2024, Stone Lions unveiled “Party Next Door,” produced by Craig Wilkinson (RedHook), mixed by James Paul Wisner (Hot Milk, Stand Atlantic), and mastered by Grant Berry (All Time Low, Yours Truly). This bittersweet end-of-summer anthem intertwines subtle EDM tones with harmonic guitar leads, narrating the tale of two friends navigating life’s highs and lows amidst constant revelry.

New Release: “Bite Your Tongue” (feat. Dani Winter-Bates of Bury Tomorrow)

“Bite Your Tongue”, featuring a blistering guest spot from Dani Winter-Bates of Bury Tomorrow. We’ve spent years pouring our hearts (and sweat) into this scene, and this song is one of our most personal yet.

“Bite Your Tongue” is for anyone who’s ever felt like they don’t belong—especially in a scene that’s meant to be inclusive. We’ve all seen it: the same misfits who once craved acceptance become the gatekeepers, tearing others down. It’s frustrating, it’s toxic, and it’s exactly what we’re calling out in this track.

Lyrically, we don’t hold back: “It’s your fault these words are feeling like razors, look around your poison fails us” and “Bite Your Tongue” drive home the reality of how words can cut deep. Sonically, it’s got everything we love about pop-punk and emo—big riffs, explosive energy, and anthemic singalongs. With Dani Winter-Bates lending his unmistakable vocals, the song delivers an explosive blend of pop-punk hooks and crushing post-hardcore energy. This track is built for those cathartic singalongs—whether you’re at a gig or screaming it in the car, this one’s for you.
